I pretty much suck at gw and am lazy as hell when it comes to knowing what skills to use in what mission, but in these new quests you practically get it handed to you on a silver platter. There's nothing difficult about it. On the first character I didn't even realize to specifically target the mantles Miku marked in the first quest and I still won.

If you ask me, these quests are just fine. They're fun and challenging enough as they are without being tedious.

I can't believe people are actually complaining about the missions being too hard. Keiran is the most overpowered thing in Guild Wars since SoS. He and Miku basically become invincible with his healing skill, as long as you keep using it. Then he has infinite energy with his sexy 20 expertise, and he is also a beast with 20 marksmanship. Not to mention at his disposal is also the OHKO sniper shot, a super barrage, the best interrupt bow skill IN THE ENTIRE GAME which gives a nearly-free deep wound, an awesome condition removal that is actually also offensive AND inflicts poison, and powerful KD. People mean to tell me they are actually having problems? Or that they need a res shrine? I'm sorry, but any reason to fail is silly. Unless you're still learning the missions, this is something that anyone should breeze through.

I did find the spirit spammer Peacekeepers a bit tougher. I think I got a group with a para (Miku - stance = dead) and one of the SoS peacekeepers. Once the sin "pet" went down, I died before I even realized what was going on. Second try, piece of cake.

So as usual, watch aggro, pay attention and you'll be fine. .

Quite right. I've done the second quest now on my warrior and ritualist, aced it the first time on each. I'm getting better at combining Sniper Shot with Miku's "Promise of Death" though I still misaim sometimes. One thing that helps is to maneuver so that Miku is leading off and takes the aggro first, so that you can target enemies at your leisure. I also like to use the barrage skill as a leadoff, then switch to Sniper Shot on whichever enemy Miku has tagged. Furthermore, I've found that getting the high ground whenever possible seems to help a bit, as the enemy has to charge uphill to get at you.

Of course, it's crucial to use the interrupt on the enemies with resurrect skills (e.g., White Mantle Champions and Knights), but since their rezzes are slow-charging you can generally cut them off well before they finish activating them. You just need to stay alert to what they're doing.

To recapitulate, based on my experience during the first two quests:

1) Engage only one group of three/four at a time, and take your time. Rushing these quests is a sure way to fail.
2) Try to Sniper Shot whomever Miku marks with Promise of Death.
3) Spam your interrupt, heal and condition-removal skills.
4) Interrupt the rezzers and kill them first whenever possible.

Read the skills, died the first time, realized I was an idiot and beat it easily the second.

I do wish Miku would call her targets though.

P.S. 20 Expertise is imba. Might as well not even have energy cost on the skills.

EDIT: This instance of Rotscale count for ZQ?

She does. Sniper shot whomever she puts Promise of Death on. "I'm using Promise of Death on (insert hapless fellow here)!"

Another tactic is to one shot and run. That is also a great way to solo Rotscale's bone dragon minions. Just one shot the intended target with Keiran's first skill and hope for a 900 damage shot. If not, run away! Rinse and Repeat.

That alone makes it super easy.

Or, as others have said, watch Miku and who gets hexed while only agroing one group at a time. I have had some close calls with firebrand+healer group but still doable.

No, call target as in "I'm attacking _____!" so that you can instantly target with T. Not look away from field, look at chat log, tab to enemy with hex, use Sniper Shot.

How easy do you want this?

EDIT: I agree, "T" should work.

Although it is annoying when there are two NPCs of the same name...

which Enforcer did she target? (she doesn't always call on the one she is attacking).

Doesn't make it easier, just more convenient. Or less annoying. Either way. Like I said, the quests themselves are easy. And that's largely avoiding the use of Sniper Shot as I'd rather use the other skills than fumble around with finding her target (who she can usually get to low health while I interrupt whoever I'm on).

Hate it when people assume things, like I want an "easier" time. If targeting is a function you use a lot and get accustomed to, not having it when it would be very useful is just aggravating.

The only portion that was difficult for me was the SoS peacekeepers (even with your stance up its rough when Miku doesn't call him). Its still possible to take them down (line of sighting the spirits helps a ton when you can afford to).

My only gripe is that some of the non-patrolling peacekeepers are spawned in such a way that sometimes Miku aggroes 2 groups instead of one, and if one of them features a non-marked rezzer and SoS.... well yeah I don't think the quest was designed to kill 2 groups at once without clever use of game mechanics.

I actually agree, since sometimes it's impossible to tell which enemy she called (two enemies with same name, for example).

Unless there's a possibility of failure, it's not a game.

If you could just /headdesk, die, rez, and keep doing it until you got to the end, this wouldn't be a mission -- it would just be an overly-long, drawn-out cutscene/movie.

edit: and yeah, I was wondering why I couldn't hit T and follow her call. I mean, that's what T does, it follows calls. And she's calling. And the call that she's making actually matters (for skill synergy) -- it's the perfect reason to call a target. But I can't use T. I can always use T. But not here! And that's weird.

It's not that I want a free win pass (per my pre-edit comment) but... the first time that an NPC actually tries to use the called-target-follow features of this game, they don't work.

OK, I agree, we should be able to hit "T".

But no rez, the missions are 10 minutes anyway, there would absolutely be no point to these at all with free rezzes.

I am loving this solo quest

You can tell as they will have the arrow indicating they have a hex on them and there are no other hexes that can be placed. Though the "T" target would be nice.
